Boudinot-Southard-Ross Estate Plant Fundraiser to Benefit the Somerset County Food Bank
May 6th and May 7th – 12:00 p – 3:00 p
Back to Nature is partnering with The Friends of the Boudinot-Southard-Ross Estate in a plant donation/fundraiser to support the Boudinot Garden. The goal – to provide a TON of fresh vegetables to the Somerset County Food Bank.
This garden, located in Basking Ridge, was established in 2015 by The Friends of the Boudinot-Southard-Ross Estate. The Somerset County Parks Commission quickly and graciously expanded it to include the mission of several local churches to provide fresh produce to the Somerset County Food Bank.
This section of the Boudinot Garden is tended solely by local volunteers and 100% of the produce grown is for the Food Bank. Through the fundraiser, the Friends hope to collect donations of seedlings, plants starts, seeds and other items needed for the garden. Last year, volunteers delivered 1000 lbs. of fresh food! This year, they’re ‘growing’ for a TON! Please help them reach the goal by donating a plant or seed packet at Back to Nature!
